FS:second sem, the final demonstration teaching

All the Gomez Elementary School observers arrived at exactly 7:30 in the morning on February 16, 2010. The professors came at 8:00 in the morning. The observers were divided into three groups equivalent to the number of the professors who were going to observe. I together with Ms. Dimatera and other observers were assigned to observe with Prof. Necitas Delos Santos. The first intern we had observed was Ms. Arlene Oliver, her subject for demonstration was Mathematics for Grade 6, her rating was 96%. Ms. Jobel Factor was the second intern that we had observed, her subject for demonstration was Mathematics for Grade 5, and her rating was 95%. W e took our lunch after that observation and that was already 12:00 noon. We came back at exactly 1:00 in the afternoon. The last intern that we had observed together with all the 2-a observers was Mrs. Racquel Merjudio. The professor that was assigned to her was Prof. Ceriaco Escleto, her subject for demonstration was English for Grade 1, and her rating was 95%. The whole observation ended at exactly 3:45 in the afternoon.

FS:2nd sem, second observation

I had my second observation on February 12, 2010. I arrived at Gomez Elementary School at exactly 7:15 in the morning. That time, the flag raising ceremony was already starting. After fifteen minutes, the ceremony ended. The students went to their respective classrooms. And I also went to my assigned room. My cooperating teacher, Mrs. Norada was very busy because of the preparation for Mr. and Ms. Valentine 2010. She asked me to look after the students. The students were asked to make a valentine card for their parents. But the problem is, the students don't know how to make a heart which is the most important decoration for the valentine card. So I decided to make a pattern for each of them. After I distribute the hearts, they started to make cards. But still, some students still have problems like, they don't know hot to cut. I was the one who made hearts for the decoration of their valentine cards. After we make valentine cards, we started to clean the whole room. So everything was already settled when Mrs. Norada came back at 10:00. She started to discuss and after thirty minutes, I told her that I already need to go. So I left before 11:00 in the morning.

FS: 2nd sem, first day observation

February 5, 2010
Friday
I had my first FS observation for the 2nd semester on this day. Gomez Elementary School (Building II) is my cooperating school with Mrs. Marissa Norada as my cooperating teacher. I arrived at Building II around 7:15 in the morning. They are already having their flag raising ceremony. After that, they hAd their first friday mass. It is past 8:30 when the students from primary grade were allowed to go to their respective classrooms. Because the students from the intermediate level and the band members remained. After the meeting of the band members, the Meeting de Avance of the student candidates for the student government followed. I was amazed by the leadership shown by the students. I went to the classroom of my cooperating teacher immediately after the Meeting de Avance. Mrs. Norada is handling Grade 1 students, section 3. She was already teaching when I entered the classroom. She was having her story telling using the book, in connection to her topic in Filipino. After she did the story telling, she asked some questions to the students and continue her lesson. She wrote some examples to the blackboard and made some exercises for the students to answer. When her lecture was done, she gave assignments to the students before they go home. I left after the students went home around 11:15 in the morning.

Be a fighter!

Being a fighter is not bad as long as you are in the right path. We must consider the persons who will be affected by our decisions and actions. Fighting does not only means to hurt someone. Sometimes it is just a way to prove something. Life is full of fights. But let's not consider them that way, instead, let's look at them as challenges to conquer and to surpass. And at the end of every fighting, you will discover that there is something added to yourself. Maybe skills to treasure or a lesson to learn.
